Late 1880’s Coca-Cola wanted to turn 2 million into 2 trillion by 2034. Their plan to get there was Classical conditioning and Operant conditioning. Classical conditioning is how you learn naturally and progressively. You know fire is hot because it burned you. Operant conditioning is taught and programmed like wearing your mask and using hand sanitizer. To make their conditioning effective they used excessive advertising. Their advertising was mainly psychological – there’s something about seeing a beautiful woman that you absolutely have no chance with drink Coca-Cola, it makes you do things, it appeals subconscious urges and desires. Coca-Cola utilized Billboards, other print, radio and TV for their campaigns, it was widespread. Distribution was also key, it needed to be available everywhere, that way it would be credible. They trademarked their brand and perfected their secret recipe. They could have achieved their 2 trillion goals years ago but they ran into some trouble over the years like changing the secret recipe but they recovered – business is never linear. Still they are well on their way.

A successful mastermind alliance needs smart and intelligent people who can plan and forecast the future. It needs big picture thinking. It needs a lot of enthusiasm and capital deployment, money is important because without it, you can’t do much. It needs reflective thinkers, analytical thinkers, practical thinkers whose ideas are grounded in reality. Ultimately business is a team sport, whoever has the best team, best game-plan and capital has a big advantage. There must be good chemistry, confidence, trust and hard work.
