Drake is ripping Kendrick Lamar apart! He is bullying him, using his heroes against him, poking holes at his reputation, taunting him - begging him to respond! Damn! I have a new found respect for Drake. You don't wanna mess with Drake, turns out he has a toxic side. "Taylor Made Freestyle" is probably the most creative diss record ever. I mean using Artificial Intelligence to Rap as 2Pac and Snoop Dogg while setting himself up for the last verse. That is genius, amazing creativity and story-telling. It's him rapping as 2Pac and Snoop Dogg, he just changed his voice. He is forcing Kendrick's hand, getting into his head, controlling the narrative, absorbing blows Kendrick might use against him (8 mile style), putting him on a pedestal, hyping him up, controlling public perception, begging him to respond! If Kendrick's response isn't up to par, he is in trouble. He needs a 2Pac, Hit Em Up kinda response. Drake is playing mental chess, making Kendrick's world smaller and smaller, he is winning. He is not even interested in the side projects, he is aiming straight at Lamar. Who would have thought? J. Cole folding and Drake bringing the pain, it's like I am in bizarro world. He is even hinting at having more. "Push Ups" is insane! Kendrick Lamar is in trouble. Hip-hop is great again. Thank you "Drizzy" Drake. This is definitely "Drizzy", the guy Lil Wayne signed and Jay-Z backed.

Carmen At Joburg Theatre for the opening of "Carmen", full house, mature demographic. Always wanted to go the opera since "The Godfather". It has that appeal, the voices, drama, emotion, gusto, heritage and culture.  I love this form of storytelling, they sing dialogue, less to do with words and more about emotion, feeling and execution. Sing your heart out, be expressive and articulate, take your time, the stage is yours. The opera is sung in French and  English subtitles to translate, it helped with continuity and following the story. Don't have the vocabulary to describe the voices, such beauty, heavenly is my attempt. The choruses are mezmarrizing, in sync, perfect delivery and immersion in the current moment. A Star is Born Reverse engineering, what's the last thing you see after a Amanda Bothma show? Standing ovation, people on their feet, clapping their hands enthusiastically. A lukewarm response is unfathomable. Using a Star Wars anology, the force forces you to stand elevated. It's an appreciation thing for what you have just witnessed on the stage. Her shows are a prime example of finesse. It's the writing, it's witty, biographical and humanizes the subjects to make them relatable, the writing has a lot feeling and emotion. The experience coops in your mind like a cacoon and you leave the show feeling like a butterfly. Almost witchcraft, it keeps you in a trance where you are at her mercy but then she strings you along a roller coaster ride and the end result is just satisfying. In search of lost time Easily one of the greatest books of all time. It follows the life of the author and his experiences throughout his life. "In search of lost time" covers the subjects of Love, homosexuality, death, old age, art, the Dreyfus case, social conventions, politics, family, friends, the war and lost time.
